Born in South Africa, Kaden moved to the UK at the age of four and now calls Skipton, North Yorkshire home. He lives with his partner of 14 years, Katie, and their lively one-year-old Cocker Spaniel, Pippa.
Kaden holds a BSc in Sport Science and Injury Rehabilitation, alongside an Infrastructure Technician Apprenticeship and an MTA in Network Fundamentals. His interest in IT started early after building his first PC at just ten years old. Although he initially pursued Sport Science, an apprenticeship opportunity led him to change direction. His dad, who has worked in IT for many years, and his supportive partner Katie were key influences in his decision.
Before joining Seriun, Kaden worked at National World as a Service Desk Analyst. This was his first role in IT and where he completed his apprenticeship, gaining valuable experience in technical support.
Now working as a Service Desk Engineer at Seriun, Kaden provides first and second line technical support, helping clients resolve issues quickly and efficiently. He is keen to continue developing his skills and is particularly interested in progressing towards a Network Engineer role or exploring qualifications in AI.
Outside of work, Kaden enjoys playing football every week, going on long walks with Pippa, gaming and relaxing with films and TV. His favourite food is boneless chicken thighs from Nando’s, hot of course! When it comes to travel, Cairo, Egypt tops his list of memorable destinations. Seeing the pyramids, the Sphinx and riding camels was an unforgettable experience, and he hopes to return one day, but he would love to travel the world and experience different countries and cultures too!
Kaden also has a few unique claims to fame. He once met Michael Jackson while living in South Africa and ran the 100m sprint in just 11 seconds. Not bad at all.
When asked how he feels about his new role at Seriun, Kaden said:
