We are absolutely delighted to welcome Grant Haida to the Seriun team as our new Cyber Security Apprentice.
Originally from Colne and now living in Fence, Grant brings an array of hands-on technical experience from his 15-year career as a qualified electrician. He previously worked as an Electrical Supervisor at a construction contracting company, where he developed strong problem solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
Grant’s interest in technology and security has grown steadily over the years. This natural curiosity led him to begin self learning IT and cyber security, inspiring a complete career shift into the digital world. At Seriun, he will be helping to monitor threats, supporting the team with day to day workloads and building his knowledge as he progresses through his apprenticeship.
Grant is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt, an achievement that speaks to his dedication and discipline. His favourite food is pizza and one of his most memorable adventures was a month-long backpacking trip across Sri Lanka!
Family life is important to Grant. He lives with his wife Mary and values their time together, whether that is relaxing at home or heading outdoors. In his spare time, he keeps busy with a wide range of hobbies. He enjoys training and teaching Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, staying fit, exploring the outdoors, gaming, and practising the piano and saxophone.
Looking ahead, Grant is eager to complete his Cyber Security apprenticeship and gain further qualifications in networking and security. He is excited by the opportunities ahead and is determined to grow his expertise within the field.
