Meet John Cumiskey – Our New Technical Enablement Manager

We are excited to welcome John Cumiskey to the team as our new Technical Enablement Manager.

John grew up in Earby and joined the army at just 17, which gave him the opportunity to travel widely. After spending 14 years living in Preston, he has now returned to Earby to be closer to his family. He is married with two children: Noah, aged three, and a 19-year-old son who currently lives in Germany.

With a strong background in IT, John is a Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert. Before joining Seriun, he worked at String Systems as a Lead Technical Consultant and Project Engineer, gaining extensive experience in designing and delivering technical solutions.

In his new role, John will play a key part in empowering Account Managers, Sales, and Project Management teams by delivering expert technical guidance on the most effective technologies and solutions. He will focus on recommending the best-fit products to ensure optimal outcomes, minimise risks, and provide strategic technical direction that drives successful projects and exceptional client results.

Looking ahead, John plans to maintain his current certifications while working towards becoming a Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate by completing the AZ-800 and AZ-801 exams. This will strengthen his ability to support clients who are not yet ready to transition to a fully serverless environment.

Outside of work, John enjoys investigating conspiracies, following the Rugby World Cup and cheering for England during the football World Cup. He has Irish roots so also loves supporting Ireland too. His favourite food is Chicken Tikka Masala, and Thailand remains the most fascinating place he has visited. He has been eight times!

When asked about his new role, John said:

“I’m looking forward to the new challenge and hope that I can become a valuable asset to all departments.”

We’re delighted to welcome John to the team and look forward to seeing the energy and expertise he brings to Seriun.
